Dr. Virk is a board certified and fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon. He specializes in the open and arthroscopic treatment of shoulder and elbow conditions including shoulder and elbow arthritis, fractures, acromioclavicular, sternoclavicular and scapular disorders, rotator cuff tear, and shoulder and elbow instability. He has a particular interest in computer guided shoulder replacement, joint preservation procedures for shoulder and elbow arthritis, Latarjet procedure, complex rotator cuff repair, tendon transfer, Tommy John surgery, elbow replacement and labral repair. Dr. Mandeep Virk is an assistant professor at the New York University (NYU) School of Medicine, New York and practices in NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital. He received advanced fellowship training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, where he was an assistant team physician for the Chicago Bulls and White Sox. He is a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Society (ASES) and editor of the shoulder and elbow section of Techniques in Orthopaedics. He serves as the editorial board member and reviewer for leading orthopedic journals and actively publishes on topics related to shoulder and elbow research.
